Smaller temple sites around Angkor

A beautiful day exploring smaller and less visited temple sites around Angkor.  Our trusty tuk-tuk driver Ngon took us to Ba Poun, Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Mebon, Pre Rup, Banteay Samre, and Banteay Srei. Srei was a 40 minute tuk-tuk through the country-side. Beautiful.  We took a break Friday to recover from jet lag. It was a work, rest and planning day (desperately needed).  We each got a massage from these tiny Cambodian ladies who dug their elbows (and knees!) into the knots in our backs and shoulders.  What an experience!  So we were good to go again and explore these temple sites the next day!

Lunch stop: Amok (fish curry stew) - a delicious combination of curry, coconut cream,
peanuts and spices, served in a coconut.

So...cool

The temple popping up from the forest at sunset, with monk chanting below us.  Beautiful.

Looks like a painting. I took this as we were in a tuk-tuk driving around the Angkor moat.
