Beng Melea (The Jungle Temple) and Tonle Sap floating villages

Today, we're checking out Beng Malea - a highly recommended jungle temple about 1.5 hours from Siem Reap by tuk tuk.  Awesome country-side tuk tuk ride. We started laughing half-way out realizing on this rough dirt road as we were being bounced around, watching villagers work in the rice paddies...it seemed we were 'really' in Cambodia.  Very very cool.

A cool parade as we were coming into the village

The 'gas station'

In the afternoon, we headed to Tonle Sap Lake in the afternoon/sunset to take a boat around floating villages. Cool day!

Check out this kid paddling in a tub!

Midway through the motorboat tour, we got into a canoe and this
lady took us around a cool submerged forest

Back at the village/boat dock, we took a spot on shore and
watched an amazing sunset on Tonle Sap Lake

Tomorrow we'll catch the sunrise at Angkor and bike around some sites.  Back by midday to catch the 'fast nice' bus to Phnom Pehn.  We thought 5 days would be 'enough' to check out Angkor and surrounds.  Turns out - we need more time here...  It is so beautiful and magical...and other inadequate words...
